Mike Sluder – bronze One of the Southeast's notable emerging artists, Mike Sluder is an accomplished sculptor who is known for creating beautiful bronze vessels. He creates one-of-a-kind cast bronze bowls and vases through the lost wax process. After casting each vessel he applies a custom patina using heat and chemicals. Mike has exhibited nationally and internationally and is currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. He accepts commissions for custom work. All pieces are signed and are authentic, one-of-a-kind sculptures.. Mike graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor's of Fine Art and a concentration in Sculpture. Studying under internationally recognized artists, he learned to work in a variety of media, including metal. After graduating in 2006, he became employed by American Bronze Art Foundry in Florida, where he served as Assistant Production Manager and Patina Specialist. In 2008, Mike moved to Atlanta where he continues to hone his skills at The Inferno Art Foundry. "Creating allows me to explore my artistic sensibility while also enriching the lives of others," Mike says. Though he enjoys using a wide range of materials and techniques, his focus is primarily on metal casting and fabrication.
